Founded by Chanae Jones, BSN, RN, Matters of the Heart LLC was created to provide high-quality, hands-on emergency response training to healthcare professionals, businesses, caregivers, and members of our community. As a registered nurse with extensive clinical experience, Chanae understands firsthand how critical it is to respond confidently and competently in life-threatening situations.
At Matters of the Heart, we offer a range of courses, including CPR, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), tailored to meet diverse needs and experience levels. This refresher course is designed for healthcare providers who already hold an ACLS certification. This course reviews the latest updates, reinforces critical skills, and includes practice scenarios to ensure readiness in emergency situations.

This is the ACLS Hands-On Session that covers rhythm recognition, airway, defibrillation/cardioversion, pacing, resuscitation medications, team dynamics. Due to the complexity of the course material the Heartcode ACLS option is not recommended for first-time ACLS attendees.
Foundational course in basic life support techniques, suitable for healthcare providers and laypersons.
This is the most common kind of BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification needed by Healthcare Workers. Covers high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, use of an AED, relieving choking, team dynamics and effective communication.
If you have never held a BLS certification or your BLS card has expired, this course is for you.
Renewal course for those with current BLS certification, focusing on reinforcing high-quality CPR, AED use, and choking relief techniques. Brief review of any updates and practice scenarios included.

This comprehensive course is designed for individuals who need CPR and first aid training that meets regulatory and OSHA workplace requirements. Skills covered include basic first aid, choking relief for adults, children, and infants, how to respond to sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants using CPR and an AED. The course is ideal for employees whose jobs require compliant emergency response certification, and anyone wanting complete preparation for emergency response.
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Blended Learning Course and is designed to teach students information needed for first aid, CPR, and AED training.
